To increase the acknowledgement of abuse of labor and human rights and the need for reform, both locally and internationally The situation of freedom of expression in Cambodia is dire. Lack of freedom of information and expression severely limits the capacity and means of citizens to raise their voice widely to duty bearers and stakeholders.
It is noted that the ruling party owns and controls the media and public information and decent voices are ISP controlled. The pending cyber law will further limit the availability of independent media, whilst the privacy and security of information for human rights defenders remains at risk. CENTRAL provides training to workers and networks in ICT for organizing and advocacy; builds solidarity networks to support and facilitate communication; and disseminates messages to amplify workers’ voices, both locally and internationally.
