Award Labor Rights Defender 2018

On May 9th, 2018, Tola Moeun, the Executive Director of the Center for Alliance of Labour and Human Rights (CENTRAL) was awarded the 2018 Labor Rights Defender award by the International Labor Rights Forum (ILRF), at an event in Washington DC. View Photo Gallary

ILRF is a human rights organisation based in the United States of America which seeks to advance dignity and justice for workers in the global economy. The Labor Rights Defender award is awarded yearly by ILRF and honours courageous worker rights leaders both in the USA and internationally, who are amplifying the voices of workers, standing against worker rights abuses and driving labour or corporate accountability policies to improve workers’ lives.

The Labor Rights Defender award aims to recognise leading labour rights defenders in their respective countries. CENTRAL would like to thank ILRF for honouring Tola with this award and recognising CENTRAL’s work in contributing to a transparent and accountable governance for the fulfilment of workers’ and human rights in Cambodia.
