Union: Strike if members not released

During a press conference this morning, Pav Sina, president of Confederation of Cambodian Worker-Movement (CUMW) informed the media that they could stage a large strike if the authorities do not release CUMW members and arrest​ assailants after the violence at Agile Sweater (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, Kampong Speu, Cambodia.

CUMW alleges company gangsters and unions affiliated with the company were responsible for the violence.

After the violence, prosecutor Keo Sothea ordered authorities to arrest those responsible. Workers reported the real violators fled away and authorities arrested five members of CUMW.
